There is too much of everything in eutrophication

Eutrophication is the most visible and difficult problem in the Archipelago Sea. It is a process declining evitable the state of the water system. When there are so many nutrients in the water that it hinders and changes the activity of the vegetation and animal populations, we can talk about the eutrophication.

Below you can find a few typical signs of eutrophication. Explain what is causing the alterations in the water system.

 

Eutrophication appears for example by: 

  • Declining of the sight- depth
  • Mass occurrence of the algae
  • Alterations in the water vegetation
  • The loss of oxygen
