Virtual visit
Have you ever visited the area of the Baltic or the Archipelago Sea? If not, you should know that there is plenty of places worth of visiting and the journey certainly pays off. If something hinders you from going there right in the moment, you can also tune yourself up by doing a virtual visit.

deal on the one hand with the unique nature and the other the problems of the Baltic Sea caused by people.

Through the eyes of the researcher
In the Baltic Sea Portal you can find the photo gallery about the journeys of the research boat Arlanda. There are for example underwater pictures, photos of algae and short video clips about the different subjects.
Broadcasting live
Turku University of Applied Sciences coordinates the Saaristomeri.info- project ("ArchipelagoSea.info"). Through its cameras you can follow the life of the archipelago live! At the moment you can find one camera following the osprey at its nest. (Just click on the photo of the osprey and a new window will open.) During spring 2008 there will be three more cameras installed to show everyone the scenery of the beautiful Archipelago Sea.

Tell us shortly about yourself and your relationship with the sea. Do you live for example near the coast, does the sea have a connection with your hobbies or whether you have studied something related to the sea or the aquatic ecosystems.
