Climate change locally study material is a consistent system, with what to get acquainted with climate change from a local perspective.

The material includes articles that include interview sound tracks. You can listen to the sound tracks with mp3 -player.

The study material together with the exercises equals 3 study credits (Ects).

For private study

The student will study all material on the website, and return written exercises to the teacher for assesment. The mind map exercise is meant for the students own use, but it's good that the teacher also sees it and knows that you have understood the meaning of this material.

Intructions for the teacher

According to the National Board of Education, one of the goals of vocational education is that the student will develop a responsible relationship with the environment both as a professional and as a consumer. This also concerns high school and all higher educations students.

The course can be implemented either a private study project, so that the student goes through the material independently, or the material can be used on lessons.

Climate change locally consists of five main parts that include related exercises. The exercised require the student to search information from the material and form opinions on the given material.

The material can be used as a whole, or it is possible to use only parts of it to match lecture/lesson themes.

The material can also be used in group work, for instance so that one group concentrates on the work of municipalities, and another group on companies etc. Finally the results will be introduced to the whole group.

The material also includes an introduction to the topic (Climate change is here) and related articles together with three polls/questionnaires on climate change that may be listened.

The recommended grading scheme is fail - pass, but the teacher can give a numeric grade if he/she so wishes.

For those who study independently

You can use the material to satisfy your desire for knowledge. You do not need to study at any institute to use the material; the material is suitable for anyone who is interested in the subject matter.
