14 years old Noora Koittola is very worried about climate change and global warming.
- I´m afraid to loose our four seasons, she tells in the interview. Noora thinks, that it will be a very big loss for all of us and especially for our children.
- The climate change really means, that it is the event, when all the emissions will cause the change in the ozone layer, Noora tells.
She thinks, that she can easily find information about the climate change from the Internet. Also in these days in school they learn much more about the environment than we did about ten years ago.
Noora thinks that she can do very little about changing the world on her own. She thinks, that we all have to work together, if we want that our children will see the world as beautiful and amazing as we do now.

Snow in the summer?
Teacher Tuija Rannikko says that the media offers a great deal of information about the climate change. She thinks that extreme weather conditions have increased all over the world. The influence of people has been considerable.
- Maybe there will be snow in the summer also, she laughs.
Rannikko hopes that the climate or flora and fauna would not change remarkably in Finland during the next few decades.
Environmental education is a part of teachers work. Even now, topics such as recycling and energy saving are taught in schools.
- There are a huge amount of things to learn in teachers’ education. Thus many important subjects have unfortunately to be left out. It depends partly on students own interest and capacity to study environmental issues, Tuija Rannikko explains.

Changes make cultivation difficult
- Old signs that farmers formerly used to decide on cropping, don’t work anymore, eco-farmer Laura Suvanto thinks about the alterations that climate change has brought.
Extreme weather conditions have increased and that affects on agriculture every where in Finland. There are long dry seasons and very long rainy seasons.
Laura Suvanto from Rymättylä has worked as a ecological farmer for two decades. She thinks that the choice that she made was based on the fact that nature and animals need protection and ecological farming fulfils this idea.
- For example the fertilizers that ordinary farmers use, consumes 40 percent of the hole amount of energy that is used in farming. So in ecological farming that amount is never used and our energy consumption is much smaller, says Laura.

Everybody is needed
- If everybody would only work together, is the main wish of a nearly 70-years-old pensioner Kirsti when facing climate change.
Kirsti does not see her own possibilities to affect on climate change to be that strong, but she still thinks that everybody has something to give for this matter.
Kirsti is my grandmother and has lived 50 years more than me. She is worried about the disappearance of the seasons even more than me, because she has experienced stronger change than I have.
- 50 years ago the winters were cold and the summers hot. But if everything will continue the same way than now, it might be that after 50 years there is only one constant rainy season, thinks Kirsti.
